The Royal Arch
Sartoris Chapter No. 9497
Consecrated 4 September 2026 · Under the Supreme Grand Chapter of England
About the Chapter
Sartoris Chapter was consecrated on 4 September 2026 at Rushden Masonic Centre by the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent of the Province, in the presence of 69 Companions. It is attached to Sartoris Lodge and shares its number.
The Royal Arch is often described as the completion of the Master Mason’s journey. Its ceremony of Exaltation tells the story of the rebuilding of the Temple at Jerusalem and offers a fuller understanding of what a Master Mason has learned in the Craft.
Any Master Mason of at least four weeks’ standing is welcome to join, whether from Sartoris Lodge or another lodge. Members of the Royal Arch are known as Companions.
