Find out how to become a member of Sartoris Lodge or Sartoris Chapter
Becoming a Freemason
Freemasonry is open to men aged 21 and over (18 at some universities) of any faith or background, who believe in a Supreme Being and are of good character. It is not a secret society, and members are free to talk about their membership.
- Get in touch. Use our enquiry form to tell us a little about yourself and your interest.
- Meet us. We will arrange an informal chat and the chance to meet members, see the Masonic Centre and ask questions.
- Apply. If you wish to go ahead, two members will propose and second you and the Lodge committee will meet you.
- Initiation. Once approved, you will be initiated into Sartoris Lodge and begin your Masonic journey.
Already a Master Mason?
If you have been a Master Mason for at least four weeks, in any lodge under the United Grand Lodge of England (or a recognised Grand Lodge), you are eligible to join the Royal Arch. Sartoris Chapter welcomes candidates for Exaltation and joining Companions from other chapters.
